Learn something new

The day stretched in front of me. My daughter recently married and settled in California. I’ve been a divorcee since a decade now. My coffers are full, but I’ve no intention to remarry. I’d led a cloistered life. I had to do something with my life. That’s when it struck me that I could learn something new. I moved into an apartment and had to put things together. Slowly, I was drawn to interior designing.
I thought awhile and enrolled at the university to learn designing and landscaping. At my age, sketching and looking for details was a problem. I’m 50. I completed the course and advertised. I got my first assignment after much skepticism. With sheer dint of hard work, I managed to create a beautiful space for a young couple. Today, there’s no looking back.
