Global religious impediment of life laws

The cost to humanity of its religions has finally been deemed too high, a third world war comes very very close and globally, our governments realise that religion and its ideas have too much influence on our lives.

It takes a lot of debate but religion is globally banned from influencing laws, freedoms and rights. The globally enforceable statute covers the following:

War
Restriction of rights or equality
Involuntary Punishment or restrictions of liberty
Any form of torture or imprisonment for any reasons solely or partially connected to or influenced by religious creed
Any form of preaching designed to incite violence
Any form of financial or material penalty due to religious reasons or laws
Any funding to any government department or political party
Any campaigning or mass propaganda designed to encourage followers
The undue influencing of minors including through education but not including objective discussion of religions as a phenomenon
Deliberate misleading of students relating to creation myths where origins cannot hope to be verified
Any restriction of birth control.

The laws are protested massively, we come close to a form of tyranny on a global scale to try and enforce these statutes. Its an uneasy peace that follows and there are huge debates about how science and atheism is just as fallible. However to grow beyond killing for our myths is painful.

The net result however isn't utopia, religion caused much war but not all. There are plenty of other things causing new problems, yet globally, far fewer people are restricted or worse because of religion.

Over the following century, religion becomes a very personal, intimate affair and the coldness of abject atheism is softened by some evidence that simple spirituality has a purpose, is quite real but requires no holy books, deities or ceremony. This movement has very few guidelines, each of these are proven valuable by science and each one is only a matter of personal practice for any individual. Mindfulness and attention lay at the centre of this movement but great care is taken to keep the movement as a small personal discipline that can enhance an individuals health and life yet requires absolutely no forms of worship, hierarchy or anything that can spiral or splinter into dangerous forms.
